Issue Three: A Hunger for Home

£20.00

Pre-order issue three. Ships early April.

Guzzle’s third print issue turns to the multilayered, often contradictory ideas of home and its relationship with food. At a time when place can feel increasingly difficult to define, contributors were invited to consider what home means through what we cook, consume and gather around.

The resulting publication resists any singular definition. Across short- and long-form essays, artworks, and vignettes, contributors explore how belonging can both steady and unsettle us, and how food and drink remain central to how we place ourselves in the world.

Drawing on Ireland’s long tradition of hospitality, this issue imaginatively opens doors to spaces and places across the globe, from Irish pubs overseas to a cookbook club in Copenhagen and a writer’s early upbringing in Hanoi, highlighting that home is as much about a feeling as it is about a place.

Artists & Writers

Samuel Arnold Keane, Eimear Arthur, Kitty Coles, Eoghan Conway, Sian Conway, Eamon De Freitas, Ali Dunworth, Jasmin Jelley, Phillip McCrilly, Tra My Nguyen Hoang, Chris O’Leary, Deborah Ryan, Anusha Shanmuganantha, Luxmi Shanmuganantha, Kevin Sheridan, Rowan Spencer, Laura Callaghan, Killian Fallon, Stephen Heffernan, Roxana Kenjeeva, Kelly O’Dowd, Jacky Sheridan, Michelle Urban, Sofia Sytnykova, Aoife Ward & Eve Woods.
